Amazingly, Deloitte will also be giving fans a taste of the U.S. Open Virtual Experience for the first time. Fans will be transported around Shinnecock Hills without leaving Fan Central. Interactive virtual reality headsets will allow fans to visit the Trophy Room “as well as immerse themselves in a 360-degree, first-person perspective of Corey Pavin’s famous 18th hole finish in the 1995 U.S. Open” (USGA, 2018). Fans will also explore the history of America’s oldest golf clubhouse through virtual insights.
